In 2018 I took part in a hashtag called #theunreadshelfproject, by Whitney from @theunreadshelf on Instagram. This year I’m going to continue my journey through my TBR – I still have about 70 books left!
Here it is, the last update on my progress on #theunreadshelfproject of 2018! If I may say so myself, I think it went quite well. I still bought and received some books, but I still made a big dent in my TBR!
Ever since the latest #25infive was announced, I was looking forward to it. This last weekend and today it was time for another readathon, where you try to read for 25 hours over five days. And of course, my body thought it was the perfect time to get ill …
Although you guys see a book haul pop up on my blog at least once a month, I’m still on a book buying ban. The main focus of my book buying ban was to read more books than I bought. I have to say: it’s going great so far!
Last Thursday I suddenly remembered that another #25infive readathon had started! It’s a fun readathon that I’m always looking forward to – I hope the next one’s soon!
At the start of this year I made myself the promise, a New Year’s resolution if you will, to buy less books and eventually read all the books on my TBR. My TBR consists only of books I own, on my ereader or on my physical shelves. Since we’re now halfway through the year I though it’d be fun to look at how many books I have purchased and my progress overall!
Last weekend it was time for another fun readathon – #8intwo, hosted by @25infive! They started with a readathon where you aimed to read for a total of 25 hours in five days. This time it was a so-called “mini” readathon where you tried to read for a total of eight hours in two days!
Last Thursday at 12am the #25infive readathon started. It’s a readathon where you try to read for 25 hours over a total of five days – emphasis on “try”. When I started I thought “oh, that’s about five hours a day, I can manage that!”, and then life came in the way (luckily, in a fun way!)
Lately I have noticed a big change in my book buying habit. Where I previously bought any book I thought I might like, I haven’t bought any books in 2018 so far. This is partly because I’m taking part in the #theunreadshelfproject2018, but also because of many other reasons. Today’s post is dedicated to those reasons!
