July wrap up!

July Wrap Up

I read nine books in the month of July, mainly because of the Booktubeathon reading challenge! Although I didn’t complete all the challenges, I managed to complete 4.5 bullets which I will mention further down where I mention the books I read. Still, I am four books behind on my Goodreads reading challenge … I think I’ll need a miracle (or just a lot of thin books) to be able to complete my 2017 challenge of 90 books at the end of this year.

Here are the books I read in July:

  1. IT – Stephen King – 1.376 pages: 4.65/5 ★
  2. Thirteen Reasons Why – Jay Asher – 288 pages: 5/5 ★
  3. 10 Dates – Emily James – 445 pages: 5/5 ★
  4. The Hobbit – J.R.R. Tolkien – 351 pages: 5/5 ★
  5. Gwendy’s Button Box – Stephen King & Richard Chizmar – 175 pages: 3.5/5 ★
  6. De Vrouw in de Blauwe Mantel – Deon Meyer – 95 pages: 3/5 ★
  7. A Court of Wings and Ruin – Sarah J. Maas – 699 pages: 4.75/5 ★
(Booktubeathon: “book with a person on the cover” and “a hyped book”)
  8. Pork Pie Hat – Peter Straub – 148 pages: 4/5 ★
(Booktubeathon: “finish a book in one day”)
  9. The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time – Mark Haddon – 272 pages: 5/5 ★
(Booktubeathon: since Christopher is a very different person from myself, I put it under “a character that is very different from you”. My review will be up soon!)

I read five of the six books that I put in my July TBR. I also put A Clash of Kings by George R.R. Martin on it, but I didn’t feel like reading another BIG book after reading both IT and A Court of Wings and Ruin. So, that’s one for another month!

On my holiday in The Hague I also started reading Revival by Stephen King, but you can find more about that book in my upcoming August TBR!
